Who are we? Claudia grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I (Ron) was born in Clearwater, Florida near the Gulf of Mexico. Both of us love all things tropical; we think it is under our skin. We both love the beach, lots of color and each other of course. The Tropical Store is one of the many small businesses that make up the backbone of downtowns throughout our great country. We know we can't compete against the huge conglomerate retail behemoths that churn out merchandise with ever decreasing prices and quality. We can and do however, add to the fabric of our community by providing fairly priced products, and as importantly, by fostering strong relations with our customers that extend far beyond the cash register.

We are a member of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce and Zoomers Running Club.

Punta Gorda is also home of the International Coconut Races. The coconut races are the brainstorm of Ron who started the races back in 1991 as a way to raise money for local non-profits and have some fun at the same time.

Ron also assists for-profit and non-profit companies with his strategic planning facilitation services and is an instructor for the Simulated Society one-day group leadership exercise.

Shipping Information:

All our shipments are packed with bubble wrap and other packing materials to protect them during shipping. We currently ship USPS Priority,USPS Express, USPS Priority International and Fedex Ground and Home Delivery.

Please provide a complete street address as many carriers will not deliver packages to post office boxes. Shipping costs will be added to the purchase price during the ordering process. Sales tax will be added for Florida residents. For FedEx Ground and Home Delivery shipments we may require an indirect signature. That means that you or someone in your household (or even a neighbor) must sign for the delivery.

Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

If for are not satisfied due to a product defect, please call 941-639-1922 within 3 days of receiving your item(s) with an explanation of return for a refund. Once the item(s) is received we will inspect it for damage. If no damage occurred from your location to ours we will credit back the purchase price of the item(s)to your credit card.

All products must be returned in the same condition as when sent. All products must be packed in the original packaging including any accessories that shipped with the product. As the buyer, you are responsible for all shipping fees and insurance for sending back the return.
